Sound Card
My latest sound card died. I’m really angry. I hope it’s on warranty still so I can get a replacement. Grrrrrr…..
02.19.08Incompetence
Incompetence; when will it end? No, I haven’t done anything today, I just got home from school–an hour late. As you might already know, my birthday is on the 29th; I was born on a leap-day. I’ll be turning 4 this year. My school’s newspaper sent me a letter asking me if I could come down to their room “for a couple minutes” to take a picture to put in the paper along with an article about people born on leap-days. I figured, what the hell, it’s only a few minutes right? Wrong. The guy in charge of the article was cool and all, and he just wanted to take the picture and be done with it, but the residential loser took hold of the camera, and it all went to hell. He insisted that the picture taken wasn’t good enough, and decided to take some of his own–after deleting the “bad” ones. It took him about 30 minutes to toggle with the camera settings, in which I don’t even think he knew how to use, and then after a rather cynical and arrogant verbal nudge from myself, he finally got it in him to take the final picture. I’m still complaining though, and I’m still getting him kicked out of the Journalism group. If you have a guest, you don’t make them wait. What’s even worse is that when said guest, who happens to be a much better photographer, suggests an easier way to do things, you don’t say “well, that’ll make things too easy”. Sure, it may be considered funny, but when you promise “a couple minutes”, then turn it into ‘a couple 30’s’, you’re in no position to get cocky.
Though, as Einstein said, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity“. The extreme degree of the latter found in some specimens makes me want to make a ’stupidity-ocaust’ joke.
Anyway, I’ll be making another post later today with the usual development/screenshot crap. I just needed to vent myself so I wouldn’t run back at him with a machete.
